It is amazing the way it works so fast, but definitely terrible to be on. No one can understand unless they have been on prednisione. I wish I could get my husband on prednisone for a year so he can understand why I am the way I am.
I am alive because of prednisone, but I hate the stuff. Its wierd its like you are alive with a sucky life, I really have to work hard to stay positive, my moods are all over the place.

ive been on prednisone for 6 month now ,starting dose was 100mg now its down to 80 , i hate the drug despite the fact that its keeping me alive so am also somewhat greatfull , am fine with all the side effects except for the moon face and the weight i gained. Most of the side effects are appearance related so there is nothing really to be afraid of

I have been off prednisone for a month after a 5 month regimen. I gained 40 pounds and have since lost 8. The moon face has gone down but still not all the way. I also have the buffalo hump but it's going down also. It's going to take around 6 months to a year to get my body back. Mood is much better, insomnia gone but I have severe stiffness since getting off the drug. It's been he'll and I'm still dealing with it. Good luck to all.
