My 2 year old was an angel. Sweet, loving, caring. But she would have fits of rage. Absolute, throwing every object she could get her hands on, rage.
She is now 3. She has had the implant for a month now and not one fit. Not one. It has really made a difference.
Of course, it is still early and as we progress, things can change. But I am glad we did it. I am also glad we did the implant for several reasons. One is she will not have the pain of the injections every 28 days.
Also, my niece had the injections and about a week before she was due she became extremely emotional and angry. And as soon as she had the shot she was fine. I feel the implant keeps a steady flow in her.
And, as she gets older, if they allow her to have the implants still, I will opt for it. It's hard enough to know you are "different" but to be reminded every 28 days with a shot... Idk, just seems once a year would make her feel more normal.
This is not me trying to pursue anyone to get the implant. Every child is different and there are pro and cons to both implant and injections. Just people seem to ask about the supprelin implants on here a lot and I thought I would give my experience.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
She had a growth spurt. But she is not too tall. She was short to begin with because she had issues as a baby where she stopped growing and lost a lot of weight from not eating due to acid reflux. They almost put a feeding tube in, but then started improving.
But she jumped from the 25 percentile to the 75 percentile in a matter of months, which is when they started to test and treat her.
Before they assumed it was limited to the breast growth. But that sudden increase in height had them to the MRI and blood tests and such.
My daughter does not eat a lot. She does sleep A LOT though. She sleeps 13 hours at night and a 2-3 hour nap in the evening. So as a 3 year old she sleeps 15-16 hours a day.
I think I have seen this decrease about an hour since the implant. Hopefully it will continue to improve to a normal amount by the time school starts.
