Premenstrual Stress Syndrome (PMS) is stress which is a physical symptom prior to the onset of menstruation. PMS is exceedingly common, occurring in 75% of women of reproductive age during their lifetime, characterized by symptoms of mood swings, depression, anxiety and irritability. It is often accompanied by physical symptoms such as bloating and cramping.
I'm so sorry you are feeling this way. It is a rough place to be, and I understand it completely. It's tough when we get caught up in our own heads like this and seems impossible to get out. The best thing to do aside from diet and exercise (and for me, the hardest), is to do something positive for someone else. Not necessarily for gain or for recognition, but just to put the focus on someone other than yourself. It becomes a decision you have to make and even force yourself to do, but it can help.
I hate these nights, but I moreso hate the thought of how many people I would hurt if I ever followed through with any of my thoughts.
It may not be the answer but I went through 18 years of hell and taking progesterone has helped me tremendously.
