Pre-menstrual Syndrome (PMS) Support Group
Premenstrual Stress Syndrome (PMS) is stress which is a physical symptom prior to the onset of menstruation. PMS is exceedingly common, occurring in 75% of women of reproductive age during their lifetime, characterized by symptoms of mood swings, depression, anxiety and irritability. It is often accompanied by physical symptoms such as bloating and cramping.
My advice is to try to communicate and help your fiancé understand what it means to be under the control of your hormones. Read together about PMS and you can even go to your therapist together if you are ok with that so he can feel how much you are struggling and trying to end this. Men just don’t get it. So if you can help him understand, I think it would really help
Another thing is stop being hard on yourself. It happens to lots of women and you are fine. Sometimes, just crawling under the blanket and having good sleep or a long hot shower is all you need.
Best wishes,
