Stanley,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss, I read your profile so I would know how to pray. The journey of grief is not an easy journey and its like riding a roller coaster ride that you want to get off but you can overcome your grief one day at a time by celebrating her life. I pray that our Lord will heal your broken heart. I ask the Lord to minister to you and your children. I have been counseling several people here at DS by private messaging. I am here for you. I know that this may sound a little nutty but I really recommend that you do two things. 1. Journal your loss and 2. Celebrate her life.

My daughter lost the love of her life of 18 years, her husband in 2006 at the age of 41 to cancer and she is still grieving and I can tell you she stills has good days and bad days. I would say time heals but she told me that life is now different. And she is right!

Father God,
I lift up Stanley to you. I ask you to mend and heal his broken heart. I plead the blood of Jesus over his mind, will and emotions. I ask you to comfort him and bring peace that passes all understanding for the loss of a loved one is so hard to understand and the only way he can walk this journey is with you by his side. Give him the courage to celebrate her life. In the name of Jesus I pray.
