Postpartum OCD Community Group

This group is for anyone who noticed that they developed OCD after pregnancy, or if they have OCD mixed with anxiety, depression, detachment, or just want to talk in general about how they felt after pregnancy, be it good or bad. Anyone is welcome :)

I struggle sooooo much from OCD.. and they developed after pregnancy. Just because this is my story, i'd like to talk to any mothers who have intrusive thoughts about their children, and how we can come together and try to fight these thoughts from entering our nurturing beautiful minds :) anyone who would like to share a story of how they feel, if they need help, advice, i am here to help and i hope others feel the same way. don't be embarassed to say whatever it is you need to say, i hope to hear from ppl soon :)

My intrusive thoughts mainly center around me hurting my daughter. There have been times while I'm giving her a bath the OCD kicks in and I start picturing myself drowing her. When this happens I usually get her out of the bath ASAP dry her off and get her dressed then go to another room where I can try and calm myself down. I am terrified of these thoughts and for a long time I thought they meant I was some kind of monster who would one day snap and kill my entire family without even realizing that I had done it. I pray every night for God to grant me the strength to keep going and to be able to fight the OCD or at least except it as irrational. My biggest problem are all the "what ifs" that fill my head, its like I tell myself these thoughts aren't me they are irrational, but the OCD finds a million reasons as to why they are possible and it terrifies me!! If anyone knows of any good coping mechanisms for these kinds of thoughts please feel free to share your advice and or experience!

I just had my very first child ten m onths ago. He is a blessing. But i feel STUCK. When i was pregnant i was so happy and so excited to start a life with my husband and my son. Then when i had him all i can think of is how bad things could be for him, how the world is such a shitty place, i cant stop thinking and feeling gulty for bringing him into a world full of muderers, child molesters, kidnappers, etc. I freak out at every moment of every day that something is gong to happen to him or someone is going to harm him. i have anxiety attacks around these thoughts. EVen when he is at home with is daddy (when i am in class) i text him a thousand times to make sure the doors are locked and the baby is safe. I get up a hundred times a night to make sure the babys window is locked and the house doors are locked. I got a dog so she barks if someone tries to get in. I cant stop thinking of all of the bad things that can happen to my son.
My doctor put me on Lexapro for post partum, and it has helped with the mood swings but these intrsive thoughts will not stop. i need help
