my dance trip was mostly fun. My most frequent dance partner didn't go, another lead I dance with was there so I got enough dances. A much older man made me a little uncomfortable, but he is a very eager beginnner. Just didn't know him well enough to accept a car ride back to the lodge..
one former instructor from my old studio unexpectedly was there at the classes by the lake; my friend took me back to the lodge. I started to feel scattered and couldn't keep up with the patterns after seeing him. He's not even the one who hurt me. But worse, when I came back to the lake pavilion for the showcase my most frequent partner at my old studio was part of it! He performed a waltz as part of the show. He's not the instructor who hurt me, either, but I really wasn't expecting to see him. He wasn't on the online guest list, so I'd felt safe. I imposed on my friend again for a trip back to the lodge; I told him a little about the situation, without naming names. As we were leaving, the man I'm avoiding makes his way over to us and asks where the bathroom is! My friend gives him directions and he finally looks at me and says hello. Just feel this horrible sick feeling when I see anyone from the old studio. Like they're going to say, hey, remember when our DJ kicked you in the vagina from behind? I can't believe a man was allowed to publically assault me three months after any interaction, unprovoked. Maybe I was guilty of mildly inappropriate ballroom dancing, but nobody deserves what happened to me. It's been two years now. Thank God my friend was there to rescue me! He is very nice.
The class on the last day made me feel better. I was able to keep up in a competitive level class! We learned the "cool whip".

Mornings or Nights?*You can’t say both (or neither), or add stipulations, or make substitutions- just commit and pick one of the two choices!

I find myself wanting to wax poetic over the mice invading the cabinets. . .
