forgive me, I'm copying this from another forum I found where I had a dreadful experience...I'm just trying to save some typing.
"My name is John, but I'm really known to most by Hink. I'm a musician, songwriter and I have a nice little studio. I was diagnosed with PTSD early this century after a terrible accident in the mid 90s. I was driving a school bus and an 8 year old girl fell under my bus, she survived only because the entire bus went over her and the only thing that hit her was the rear axle. Still it did a lot of damage. I never knew it happened and finished my route only to find out after.
Though tbh I feel this was not my activating event, in fact I firmly believe my PTSD goes back to the day I was born. I was adopted at birth in 59, who knows how I came to be but I was fortunate to get adopted by a great family. Unfortunately I was not well and had considerable trauma before my first month on earth. The biggest of course being snatched away from my birth mother, my safety and security. There's a book called the primal wound about this.
The truth is the accident came after one more attempt to rebuild my life, so as much as it is a big part of my PTSD I think it's more the final straw.
Naturally depression goes with this as well, no sleep, hopelessness, I don't go out much and rarely drive. I have a wife two children (13&28) and two grandchildren, we live in Massachusetts very close to New Hampshire.
I hope to find some people who understand here, I spend a lot of time on a forum for music types like me and I just want people to know that most importantly on any forum I believe in respect. You won't see me swear often, I don't like to offend and I will just say "ayuh" and move on when someone tries to offend me. I'll post more soon about the madness that is Hink, I'm a nice guy but very lost."

Thank you, I have been exploring here and this site seems to be a perfect fit. I love the idea of a journal. I'm turning 50 in less than a month and I'm now just accepting this as a life long disability. There aren't a lot of people who can truly understand, they be supportive and such...but they just cant understand, I don't understand.
