If it is manageable, try to hang in there. If not, call the doctor and let them know. It may take some trial and error but hopefully if you are able to keep your chin up, things will turn around.

Which one did he give you? I know that trazadone can't be taken on an empty stomach. If you can drink milk, have you tried taking it with milk? I know it is frustrating when meds don't work. Was on Prozac for a while- didn't work. Took Celexa also- was just not strong enough. Now taking 40mg of Paxil a day. Try to find a way to lessen the stomach upset and give the meds a while to work.

please please be careful the VA had me on all kind of shit and I started to have chronic kidneys,liver failing
pleas get your doctor to check them thing out for you that can be one reason you your stomach is F up please have them check them out and start doing your own research on your meds the doc do not care trust me they do not care for you....

so true! be your own advocate. Always get copies of tests that are done and look up any new meds before you start taking them.
I was given a sample of some headache meds to try, i looked it up first and it was a good thing I did. It would have killed me! I have a severe allergy to asprin, the medicine she gave me was an asprin based drug.

Doctors are not ALL uncaring but sadly most of them are. :(

I have found that my meds that used to hurt my stomach don't hurt nearly as bad if I take them with a full glass of whole milk, or a bowl of ice cream, something creamy like that. I sure hope something will help you out!

leonalexa, A lot of meds will affect your stomach or gut. So maybe you need to take meds on a full stomach, or call your doctor and change meds. Most doctors are, I believe, very caring, but unfortunately our medical system here in the US is being dominated by insurance companies,.that are increasingly dictating what doctor should and should not be doing. I hear a lot of anger from my friends in the medical profession on this very subject. The demand to see more patients with less time, not allowing test that doctors feel are appropriate, and pushing generic meds, when doctor feels differently. This is why we must think about who we vote for, in changing our medical system. Unforturately, right now, we are run by corporate power, not the power of the people. This, we must change. Enought said, But, don"t despair, do be your own advocate, and do look up the meds on the internet, also check out natural alternatives. Take care of your self.
