Oh my, thats horrible.. but there was a mistake or something, itd be a good idea to ask why? thats just cruel... hope things work out for the best!

I have no clue how the system works over there. All I'll say is that it's possible that they know something that you do not, and that raising kids is a LOT harder than it looks. Best she can do is jump through hoops to get the baby back.

Be there 10 minutes early for each visitation, change all of the nappies, fill all the bottles, offer to do all of the laundry, etc, etc, etc.

They wouldn't do this without a reason are you sure they changed their mind because of nothing? If so then maybe there is a way to keep the baby. I understand it's difficult and sudden but your friend needs to fight for her child. On the other hand she needs to consider the baby's future. It's not about how much toys and diapers you two have bought! It's about providing the child with good care and emotional support and it's about making sure that child goes to college and make a decent living..instead of feeling lost and ending up with the wrong crowds. How much can your friend take mentally children go through so many things and you need to be at a right state of mind? And how much can she provide for her self and her child. This is very very tough on her..and the situation is very difficult since she could give birth at any time. But maybe you can help her out by talking with the social workers and see what can be done to prevent the separation between the child and the mother.

Something has had to of changed she isnt telling me. But part of me believes this was the plan they put together months ago when they said she could keep it. So it went full term pregnancy and then she finds out so she wont hurt herself or the baby before. I dont believe she would of even thought of to do that though atm. Shes well mentally.

Social services are bastards Sarah. I've seen this very thing happen time and time again. SS are liars. A friend of mine got pregnant 8 years ago and SS did the same thing to her as they are now doing to your mate. SS told my friend she could keep her baby even though she had older kids in care. She gave birth and within 24 hours a social worker turned up at the hospital with police in tow with an Emergency Protection Order. My friend was screwed didn't have a leg to stand on. They took her baby away and had it adopted. My mate had BPD and she had also improved lots mentally before having her baby the one SS nicked off her She tried to prove she would be a better mum to her new baby than her older kids who went into care before but no joy. Its basically legalised baby stealing. Adoption and long term foster care is how these social workers make a living. They actually get a bonus for a every kid they farm out to adoption or long term care. Its a multi million pound business Sarah and your mateskid is just a commodity to them a means of making money. I would urge your mate to fight SS tooth and nail to get her baby back but sadly this is often a waste of time and effort. My mate tried to get her kid back and failed. Not because she was still doing anything wrong but because of the way the family court system is set up to favour SS not kids or parents. My mate was never the same after she lost her last baby into the system. Indeed she was a broken woman ended up hooked on heroin and on the streets. I haven't seen her for years but I wouldn't mind betting she has probably died by now. I hate SSthey ruin kids and parents lives. My heart goes out to you and your mate Sarah. Please don't assume your mate has done something she ain't telling you about Its more likely SS are up to their old tricks again. Bastards.

I am so sorry that this has happened to your friend Sarah..... They have to work within the law though and they are accountable for what they do
They are accountable to the justice system...... She can get her own lawyer and I would follow whatever criteria that they set out to show that she's onboard with being a great mom
If you friend wants her child she may have to jump through hoops and I hope that she does this for both of their sake...
The law can be a difficult thing because it's set out for a whole society so it can seem to diminish a single person.... I don't believe that's the point of it though it surely is an imperfect system...... Big hug......xo
