I believe I am holding steady. The isolation here at the job site makes it hard to be certain. I can tell myself anything when I am isolated with not a single reality check in sight. The lies I tell myself are the worst lies on my trauma train. I still have my support network at the Urban Homestead, but that is 190 miles from here. No nag flags waving from them, but I am still lonesome in the extreme.
The good news is that the isolation issue is in the process of being addressed. Small steps, big faith and lots of prayer. I still don't feel stable enough to start interviewing and taking bids, but the compost pile is rocking. A new stove is on its way. Time to go check the results of the experiment I started on the dirt floor of the big barn last night. The bad news is that the big owl who was roosting out there found another place to roost. He/she is still hunting here, though. I don't know much about owls, but I am kinda feeling like he/she is my first friend in the neighborhood. Nag flag? My shrinks always worried about my tendency to bond more deeply with critters than humans. I am still not convinced that is a problem. Critters need lovin' too.
Just an update. Thank you for the support.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Thanks for the update arfie. Keep fighting and challanging those lies.
Hugs.
Sending hug & a smile :)
Still no sign of the first white owl in the big barn, but today I approached to find a pair of smaller, brown owls watching me. Good thing I had my field glasses. One of them let me get quite close before flying off. I do believe I have learned more this week than I have in the previous 62 years. So many critters and so little time.
Alas, owls are predators. Don't know what this does to my thoughts of putting chickens up there.
I think your chickens would lose miserably ... Another hug and a blessing......xo
Eldest son and his S.O. are supposed to bring me some odds and ends from the Urban Homestead tomorrow. They might stay on to help with the extensive list of projects awaiting attention. My isolated senses are looking forward to the visit, whichever way it works out.
Dooo, I am way too big a predator for the owls to mess with. I am safe enough. Even if I wasn't a natural predator, I am still too big for their talons to carry off. The chickens are another story. Sure are allot of things in nature that enjoy a chicken dinner. Even chickens enjoy a good chicken dinner.
