Tw domestic violence neighbours

Nooy
Just called cops on my neighbours. We've been worries for months. I heard her screaming while he attacked her.
I'm such a lowlifle. Why am I worried about how it will affect me that I called the cops on them?
I heard their doorbell. Cops arrived maybe. I'm hiding.

Which explains the mysterious fevers and my extra fatigue. I'm so glad I pushed for answers.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

Donnawanda, thank you for validating that. I was upset after I called the emergency number because I worried about our safety. Then I was upset that I would think about that after the noises I just heard through the wall. But I had to call. I couldn't not. Not with those noises. I had to.
Kate, thank you. It was the right choice. I would never have forgiven myself.
SRae, luckily violence wasn't part of my childhoodd household, but it was an emotionally tumultuous place for me to be. I think I react anxiously to the the thought of something poisoning the feeling of peace in my home. I need calm and safety and no drama.
He showed up again not long ago, at nearly midnight here. Shouting and raving in the street. Sounds like family/friends/whomever urged him to leave again. I heard him shouting from outside through my headphones and audiobook.
We kept the audio recordings that we made. He was raging so loud this afternoon that we could record it on our phones through the wall. He speaks a different language, so I have no idea what he say. I have often heard him rage so loud I can hear every word. I also wrote down a few statement notes along with the time and date of event, in case we have to call the police/hotline again. We were too stunned to record the blatant sounds of violence as it was happening.
When we contacted domestic abuse hotline some time ago about his very frequent rages, we weren't sure which of the three neighbouring apartments it was, so their hands were tied. It became clear today when he lost it that it was on our floor level. So I called it in.
My fiancee says that she's scared about running into one of them when leaving or returning from work. I understand that. I'm telling her and myself that they can't be sure it was us. I'd deny to anyone from that house that asks if it was me. I don't need to be thanked and I really don't want anything getting back to that unstable individual.
but you did the most excellent thing to call.
when i tried to dial 911 for myself one time? i was not able to, but somehow that i will not ever figure out, the police came. i don't know who could possibly have heard anything. it was in an apt attached to a house and nobody was home in the house - we owned the house also. there wasn't any noise. i do not know who called the police or how they knew.
anyway - you probably saved a life - at least one.
the best thing the neighbor could do is to leave so he has nobody to return to hurt. that is not your responsibility though. i wish we could help people do that part.
hugs, you did the biggest help when you called nooy xo
It's still making me paranoid. I was coming home from errands and someone also came home at their door. Not a minute later my doorbell rings. I ignored it. Then I heard nrighbour door opening and closing and now someone is angril shouting in their apartment.
It's probably nothing. I'm willing it to be nothing.
Absolutely: stay anonymous. I hope *he* will go and stay away soon.
Hugs and kudos for your courage!
