I have been having trouble with my gallbladder for a few months. This Sunday I had a gall attack last more than 8 hours so off to the ER
It had to come out. They did the surgery this evening
I warned then about my PTSD, they didn't seem concerned. Well I had a flashback coming out of the anesthesia. They took notice then. I was thrashing, crying and screaming. I could hear one nurse saying I have PTSD. All the sudden everyone was telling me it is ok, you're safe, you're at st. Luke's and it us Nov 6, 2011. So they did ground me and gave me xanax to calm down. I think they may need the warning better next time. They did ok, even got my hubby on the phone to talk to. Doing better now.
Lesson learned, insist on having hubby in recovery room

I woke up in the middle of it and freaked out...punched the doctor in the face, kicked the nurse, throwing myself around, they had to give me more sedative.
When it was over it happened again...punched the orderly who was trying to put me in a wheel chair from the table...kicked him in the balls, called him every name in the book, they gave me something in my IV to calm me down and got my Mom.
I was 17 when that happened.
That was before I was diagnosed with PTSD but only a few months before.
The spinal issues are from abuse, the brain problem is from an unknown cause it's called Idiopathic intracranial hypertension if anyone is interested in looking it up...it sucks big time!
