My middle aged son (30+) is out of control. He will not even tolerate suggestions of psychotherapy. He is escalating from curseful disrespect to physical violence. His father and I are on the verge of calling in the police. Thankfully, there are no children or partners involved.
Prayers and positive vibes requested.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

My uncle has a stepson -- 31. He's been spiraling into frank mental illness, only exacerbated by the drug abuse that he keeps bouncing in and out of ... likely in a futile effort to self-medicate.

But these kids ... may be YOUR kids ... but ... they aren't kids.

Tragic. Unbelievably tragic.
We'll definitely send some prayers and if he's willing, he could even message me, since I also been on that "slippery slope",(came real close to killing 3 on 3 different occasions myself, because i was out of control). Here for you too, if needed, Blaine
Do what you have to and know you are making the best decision that you can for all the right reasons. Love yourself as much as you love him.
Hugs and sending positive thoughts.
. If he won't consider getting help, then maybe contacting authorities would be best. The NA/AA approach may work, also, IF he can accept he has a problem.
You may try to contact the nearest treatment center to see if they may help with an intervention.
Your family will be in my thoughts. I mean that!!
Sending much positive vibes, along with healing energies Arfie.
Will keep you and your family in my prayers/thoughts.
