I am glad you did it and you are still with us. Proof again we are tougher than we think. Give yourself a pat on the back if you faced a tough day and made it to the end of the day in one piece!
Hope all goes well with the specialist.. keep us posted .
I'm still here... plugging away... going to shop for my youngests birthday today. (She'll be 12 Thursday). Snow boots on the list, but also something special... I'll see what catches my eye..
Muji I hope your appointment is soon, This is so not good with kidneys. You know enough about the ramifications too , to know to be on guard. take it easy, do your water and meds. Happy Tuesday! (well I'm trying)
The psychological stress exacerbates the physical symptoms, AND/OR the medical problems.
Do *I* know THAT tune well !
I'm so sorry. I hope BOTH get better, pronto !
As to the "still here ?" thing ....
I still see my reflection, when I look in the mirror. Surely, *I* don't look as old, tired, and sad as that guy in the mirror.
Surely, I don't.
But I presume the existence of that reflection -- such as it is -- is a prima facie case that I AM still here :-)
Without going political, by the way, was your school's distance learning project overseen by the same folks that developed the Affordable Care website ? ;-)
Feel well !
I meant this:
"The psychological stress exacerbates the physical symptoms, AND/OR the medical problems. "
To say this:
"The psychological stress exacerbates the physical symptoms, AND/OR the medical problems exacerbate the psychological stresses."
Aaaaaah. Much better ;-)
glad you're here, still kickin', still fighting the good fight!

The pressure is on at work and a family member of one of my clients caused a cluster F.....but she had good intentions.......the road to my hell is apparently paved with those.
My daughter went to her intake at the mental health clinic Monday so that is a positive.
I'm not suicidal but wish i could take the plunge. Too much of a chicken and still have hope. Hope is a cruel master....
I got through another 12 hour teaching day 9am to 9pm. I only do that once a week, but whoa. They really screwed up my schedule at the last minute this past August. My boss has sworn it won't be like this in the Spring.
There were a couple of moments of outstanding kindness today. In my evening class we watched the film "Tuesdays with Morrie." In a very appropriate way a male student, a combat veteran, said he would be Mitch to my Morrie when it came my time to die. You'd have to see the movie, but it was a very kind thing to say, and he wasn't hitting on me or fishing for a better grade, I promise.
I have a very angry, mean-spirited student in that class who never smiles, never interacts with others positively, is a real bah-humbug Scrooge type. I imagine she might be one of us who hasn't opened up yet, someone who's living with some terrible trauma bottled up and bitter inside. I know the feeling. So glad we have places like this where we can open up and let pain out and some joy back in.
Very tired, but I see you are, too, my friends. Take good care, and see you again here tomorrow night.
Muji
I looked forward to typing those words here all day.
As we all know very well here, a good day NEVER should be taken for granted.
Gratitude.
