yesterday, Facebook notified me that the star soloist of my choir opened a very old message I had sent her almost two years ago when I felt traumatized and distraught. I had looked up my dance teacher on Facebook when I was wondering whether or not to press charges, learned the unhappy facts that he started a serious relationship shortly after kicking me out of his dance class, he is a black belt, and he went to the beach days after brutally, unprovoked attacking me at the front door, three months after any further interaction. I stopped ever looking him up after my business complaint against the studio because even seeing his picture will possibly give me a nightmare. Ultimately, I didn't press charges because I didn't feel anyone would take my side. But I really wish someone at the dance studio had simply asked me to leave instead of letting me become comfortable and then letting someone kick me in the vagina from behind. I was getting dances from others at the parties. I even thought the dance teacher was being polite by staying out of the mixer line and letting me dance; I was so stupid to think he cared an iota about me.
felt very uncomfortable learning that a priest whose mother I'm friendly with knew my dance teacher on Facebook and even more uncomfortable overhearing a conversation between the priest and the choir soloist about how great the dance community is. I realized I was being grumpy with her because of this and sent her a message explaining without going into detail and apologizing. I was actually glad she'd never seen it! But now she possibly has.
it is also one year since I was graduated by my therapist and two years since my big nightmare that was a delayed PTSD event.
