Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I think everyday is a new day and we can make choices to protect ourselves and be smart about those choices that we make in order NOT to be preyed upon again as best that we can
There will always be bad as well as good in the world sadly however we can be smart and do our best to recognize when someone doesn't have our best interest at heart.....
We can say....'that's not okay and stay the hell away from me'
Loving yourself and taking good care of you sounds like a great plan Ever...…
I applaud you for being cognisant of taking good care of you...… Big hug......xo
Dr. Viktor Frankl, a psychiatrist who was Freud's own student, was sent to one of Hitler's concentration camps and survived by doing that every day. He called it "logotherapy," or word therapy, what we do writing here on DS PTSD.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logotherapy
"Rather than power or pleasure, logotherapy is founded upon the belief that it is the striving to find a meaning in one's life that is the primary, most powerful motivating and driving force in humans."
It really mattered after the Holocaust when Frankl came out after surviving Hitler's death camp to find that his new bride and his parents, everybody, had been killed in other concentration camps and he was all alone. But he went on to find meaning in his life and started over. It was hard work, but he died a natural death when he was in his 90s. He's a hero to me for that.
