Hey, do any of y'all have any tips to share as to using Melatonin for PTSD insomnia? Dosages? When to take it? I've decided to take it so I can have a more regular restful sleep cycle, so support's welcome.

Today mom and I are taking Moo and Copper to the vet for vaccines. I'm watching a movie having coffee while copper snoozes in between my knees. What does Thursday look like for you?

Does anyone here have a comfort item you carry with you when you go out? For example this is my doll, Annie, and I've recently been bringing her with me when I run errrands flor have an appointment. Holding her comforts me. I've bought her clothes, crocheted for her, I recently bought a personalized blanket with her name on it. Just wondering if anyone else has a comfort item.

But recently I was having trouble sleeping and borrowed some of his and for me it seemed to kick in in about 20 minutes, so I think there's a bit of an individual component to it as well. Though lying in a dark room probably helped.
We tried the liquid years ago too, but the kind we tried was a little too acidic for him.
I hope you get some peaceful sleep.
I know this may sound super weird, but I feel like there’s something about chicken *Bone broth that helps with sleep a little. If you wanna give it a try it might help
A while ago I started drinking it because my jaw problems and pain issues I have trouble eating & I wanted to at least get something in me. I also read that it can help with inflammation. I noticed when I would drink it sometimes I would feel a little sleepy & take a nap after. So I looked it up & read that some other people have the same experience. I mean it’s not like perfect since my insomnia can really rage sometimes.. but anything that can help a little rite
Big hugs <3
The melatonin really helped this week, until I ran out of my Prazosin last night. Melatonin + Prazosin seems to be the good sleep cocktail for me. Lacking Prazosin last night meant the sleep cocktail didn't work. Consequently, I was up with insomnia until 4am, something that hasn't happened in a long time.
Needless to say, I made a beeline for the pharmacy to get my Prazosin supply replenished today. The melatonin + Prazosin cocktail will be back at it tonight. Not only did it work to give me regular sleep that was nightmare, free: I also got to have GOOD dreams night after night, too, the details of which I made sure to record in my gratitude journal daily.
Speaking of which, thanks to all of y'all as to supporting me through this phase of managing my PTSD. I'll let you know tomorrow what sweet dreams melatonin + prazosin brought me tonight.
Blessings.
