"Therapists" I will never go to another one.
I've had the worse luck with therapists other than ONE who helped me a LITTLE to at least put things into context. Since many of us abused as children think what we went through was "normal" those doing the abuse acted like it was normal.
So anywhoo, i contacted another therapist and sent one of those emails on google. Her reply to it was honestly very unprofessional so i told her. Yes i damit i was harsh with her but she is a professional and a expect a professional email from a professional duh..
She replies with a sarcistic/ katty "No wonder you need therapy..............get help sweetie" something a B at a night club would say.
NO more therapists for me 99% of them have been like throwing my money to the grabage i should have just tear up 100 bill and throwing to the wind. I have some stories about "Therapists" i have found kinder, more understanding words and support in this group.
I went through cult abuse. I was watching the story of Davidito who was abused in the Children Of God cult and its very similar to my story. IF you have problems with rage and justice (which a lot of us will never find) watch it. Its disturbing but at least you'll know you are not alone in your rage and obssesion with wanting justice. Its in youtube ' Clut killer.... The Children of God'. How that guy feels and his story is very similar to mine.....Although i have thought many times just like he did i would not carry it out like he did. I do not have the cojones, the guts to do something like that.
Oh well went rambling from one thing to another. Its sucks to live with the aftermath of child abuse. It really does for me it never went away i recently went for a month with almost no sleep at all....the calcified bilogical symptms from a messed up neuroendocrine system just in my case are SET. The abuse started too young and i did not get help till way to late in life. I try to help myself but it is very very hard.

Woke up feeling very emotional and about to clock in at my place of employment. And can't place it all in writing but not been a good experience with my store manager or his boss. Defamation of my character is a concern. I've been losing appetite and weight. Trying to perform at work to keep myself from hospitalization as a result of toxic masculinity.

So it seems to me. . .
Continued support while you discover your own seems and means.
Sorry to hear you had a similar experience NO child deserves that.
The previous string of therapists I had could not wrap their heads around that, apparently, never having been outside the USA or near a war zone. You would think they could have, but they could not. They kept wanting to talk about my family, which was crazy indeed, and stuff they talked about with their other patients. Meanwhile, there was this little detail of a bomb that hit my car when I was 9, you see......... Nada.
It was worth meeting that PTSD therapist who did insist on talking about that car bombing and the other 6 years of combat I survived as a kid. He got it. He'd heard years of combat stories from vets in his day job at the VA. So nutty stories of days of neighborhood calm broken by bullets flying and soldiers in your house sticking rifles out your bedroom window didn't confuse him the way it seemed to confuse other therapists.
Hope somehow you trip over a good one. I literally found my good one by accident. Their out there, but it's a long and expensive process to sort through them to the one that really helps. I have to say mine changed my whole life for the better, though. Much support to you.
My abuse the way it happened is very bizarre and unusual not something people could imagine what it was like. For one among the horrific sexual abuse and this is the part therapist do not get WHY words trigger me a lot its because i was NOT spoken to for a YEAR by my "family" if i screamed and the very few times i had the chance to do it a "sister" read me the Bible saying (the abuse that was happening) was what God wanted for me, that it said so in the Bible it was "God's will for me"...........So when you can not communicate with anyone for a year and when you scream for help they read you the Bible saying God wants that for you.....YES words are a huge trigger.....I never met any therapist that would understand what not being spoken to for a year as a child and have the whole family act like you do not exist would do or why would words be such a trigger. .
So far none of them has gotten it.
I did reply to that katty email telling her "If you're a mental health professional you should not take anything personal, yes you are dealing with people with issues sometimes very serious ones and biologcally based i am diagnosed with PTSD and other probs, i understand therapists do have to set strong boundries for patients who have a lot of rage but there is a TACTFUL way to do it, is not by mocking them or making petty, katty comments" ...............
Sigh. . . Is it fair to be consoled by the fact that the challenge can't drive me any crazier than I was by the time I escaped the kiddie whorehouses? Or can it? Somewhere around my second decade of therapy I started to wonder if I suffer PDD. Psychiatric Disorder Disorder. The good news is that my peer supporters let me know I am not alone in my confusion.
Be patient with the process, Kaisad. Time and money have no meaning in the healing process.
Regards.
And it is so crazy expensive.... I can't manage it ….
I'm sorry that you've had such horrific experience(s)…… xo
