Have mood swings from bad to very bad. Tried emailing therapist since Thursday and my doctor today.
Feel so alone in my fighting this. Have not been on this site because I been feeling really bad. My therapist has been basically saying that it is time to let the past and my self-hate go, but do not see that it is possible and end up frustrated to no end.
Well thanks if you read this for let me vent and sorry I have not responded to others, but right now I would not be able to give anymore feedback, when I am hanging on by a thread.

Upon his departure, he remarked, "I am in many people’s pockets; no one will believe you." Have you ever grappled with the silence that follows sexual assault, where the perceived impossibility of being believed necessitates self-censorship?

I don't understand how a therapist could say it's time to let go of the past. Any one of us would be happy to do that, but the past doesn't easily let go of us. There are structural changes that take place in the brain and in the nervous system. It's not as simple as making a choice. Maybe you should find someone more experienced in trauma?
I'm sorry you're having a hard time tonight. I think it's perfectly okay to come here when you need help and don't have much to give. Someday the shoe may be on the other foot, but for now it's fine to be like this.
nobody i know with ptsd can do that. it is very complicated to work with someone and get to a place to feel safe enough to begin, that's how it has worked for me.
i'm sorry you are having a hard time tonight too. i hope you won't worry about coming here for help. i really hope that. that is something that is very expected for each of us during a difficult time. nobody is counting or checking and i hope you won't think about that at all.
gentle hugs, ((cj))
Vent all you need. Hugs of support
He had specialized training in PTSD counseling, and it was very different for me, much better quickly. He didn't have a cure, no one seems to. He just knew how to address my issues directly and to the point with understanding. That gave me confidence in believing myself and what I felt to then manage my symptoms. It made a big difference and positive in my life.
