My beloved is holding steady in maintaining his condition until surgery on the 15th. It is still not certain whether it will be one surgery or a series. That is still contingent on what they find in his bile duct on the 15th and how well his heart recovers from the shock of it all. Holding steady in the stress flow of the two adult son drama is his greatest heart challenge right now. So far, so good. Prayers in progress. Eldest son (34) was unable to move out, so we have had to carve out space for youngest son (30) and his wife and son. "Carve" might be too soft a word for creating space in our over-furnished, 3 bedroom house... I am still having nightmares about the FIL sending up U-Hauls full of what he thinks we need... It would be a poetic moment for his materialistic wisdom to assert itself... Stuff, stuff and more stuff... He who dies with the most toys wins. Maybe I should send him a U-Haul full of our surplus???

Today I am off to San Antonio to help youngest son and his wife clear out their apartment. We managed to clear allot of space for their move back into the homestead, but we will not be able to accommodate all of what they have gathered in their 2 years of marriage. The hardest part is likely to be sorting what to keep vs. what to get rid of. I think. Maybe. The goal is to be done with that step before the surgery on the 15th.
