proof still unavailable, but i have grown to trust the memory that the term, "social distancing" really was a term commonly used in my early psychotherapy in the 70's. i believe i had "the social distancing skills of a child prostitute" and unlearning those skills was an essential part of escaping my birthright. having that phrase reemerge as a marshal law mandate might have been the most mind-fucky part of corona's crowning back in march, 2020. the child sex traffickers have taken over the world, at last?
fast forward to 2020, year 3 and i find myself wondering if i should seek the balance between the extremes. social distancing harsh enough to allow me to survive child prostitution is a bit much, but social distancing just far enough to take what i like and leave the rest could be a good thing.
am i making sense? it's so hard to tell fact from delusion in the midst of a psychic fog. reality checks needed.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I'm finding life in this pandemic, with its lockdowns and surges and closing and opening of schools, to be eerily familiar. So I'm looking to my own PTSD therapy to what we sorted through there that could be useful in terms of social skills for getting through this, too.
