I used the delaying a lot of times. Distraction was helpful good. Coloring, a walk, exercise or anything to distract myself. Another thing that helps me is to reach out. I
Still slip up one or twice a year, but not as bad. Talking to others or writing someone was the biggest help for me.
When I look back to times when I have wanted to hurt myself it is usually because I have reached the point when things feel out of my control. Maybe try doing something that makes you feel like you have control of your life? You said you have so much going on, is there anything that you can resolve that would make you feel relieved? Please don't hurt yourself, it only adds another problem to the list and it really only takes your mind off your problems by distracting you with another one. xo
