I grew up in a city that is in the top 10 in population in North Amercia, late 30's moved to a town of 17 thousand, then 90 thousand then a town of 500 people!  I had been coming to the town in the summers and new the summer people.  I moved here after my divorce in late December, basically gettting cabin fever

I read online that in a small town you have to just get out there, i am shy so this is hard.  I am starting a new clinic here so have met some people through work, but that is different.  Haven't socialized with them.  Tonight my parents, who live up here now too, invited me to the local watering hole (Legion) for a dinner.  I was nervous but went.  My evil sister and her husband were there too.  She ignores me so I started to talk to the ladies beside me, they were so nice and helped pass the dinner time

After I headed to the bar for a glass of wine and to buy my Dad a beer.  Started chatting with a lady and found out she just moved here too. I ended up talking with her and another lady too we met and exchanged numbers to get toghether again.  She just moved here from outwest, I am so excited as I have been praying to meet some girlfriends here.  So happy I went despite being scared to go
