The sudden burst of social activity with the start of Little League season has had quite an impact onboard my little ship of fools. It feels healthy, but the sparks are flying in so many different directions that it is tough to know what danger spots those sparks might be hitting. There are flammable containers and dry tinder all over our heavily traumatized ship. My PTSD conditioned hyper-vigilance is eating holes in my gut. Then we get to the masked normies who will have access/jurisdiction to our first game on Tuesday. . . Normies scared me, even when I was able to read their lips. Social anxiety is still pretty high on my list of psycho snot knots. The Corona mandates have added more psycho snot to those knots.
Am I making sense?
Again I leave the mood icon on the rapid cycling median. My emotions are all over the proverbial map. Plying therapy tools. . .

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I hear you. PTSD can, like for me I have a few disorders that can make me hyper-vigilance and due to these it feels like it is eating holes in my gut. My stomach hurts when I am or my brain over stimulate. So I understand. Do you ever try sensory water bead or a heavy teddy bear or other sensory things. Minis having autism it help me when I am hyper-vigilance. Sending you xoxox because I understand and is struggling with that and much more other things. Praying for you
"Tactile grounding" is one of my most used therapy tools. I've never heard of a sensory water bead, but my foster daughter's giant pink unicorn is a dandy grounding element for my rumbly tummy. Lots of other sensory things, too. Using my physical senses helps me get out of the virtual reality between my ears. Is it ironic that I am using a giant pink unicorn to bring myself back to physical reality?
Hugging you tight arfie <3
Thank you, Jan. It helps to know I'm in good company.
Purring puma power
For me, the social distancing is kinda like offering an alcoholic a bottle of whiskey. I invested allot of psychotherapy hours into over-coming my child prostitute's social distancing conditioning and? ? ? It has come back with the natural ease of any addiction. The powers that be tell me that is a good thing.
I am almost ready to take out, "Thinking" and put in, "Using." How many ways can I use a knife? How much say does the knife have in how I use it?
When I used social distancing/masking as a child prostitute in Public School, I could not have comprehended the terms. It was a struggle to learn the terms and concepts in psychotherapy. Girl howdy, that was an expensive education with no student loans available. Little did I know how metaphorical those lessons were.
Here in the second year of 2020? ? ? Venting. . . Sorting. . . Plying the therapy tools the current Powers That Be don't seem to endorse, much less respect.
It's been something I kept to myself until now because understandably the whole world has been yearning for when things would go back to normal again. I didn't know if anyone would get that what we've all wished for is actually not totally comforting to me after all, but is causing my PTSD anxiety to kick in, too. Thanks again for giving voice to this unconventional feeling of mine. It sounds as if in your way you know what it's like, too.
