* Affectionate Communication as a Mechanism for Responding to Acute Stress.
Interventional study. Previous research has found that, during episodes of stress, expressing affection to a loved one accelerates the body's recovery from stress (relative to other activities). This study investigates whether this stress-recovery effect of affectionate behavior is influenced by the pituitary hormone oxytocin. Ages 18-75. Location in Tempe, AZ.

Interventional study. This study will compare the effectiveness of prolonged exposure therapy versus active psychotherapy in reducing the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in adolescents. Ages 12-18. Location in Petach Tikvah, Israel.
