PTSD grief dreams

I went on a job interview yesterday.  Didn't get it, it didn't go well at all, but I've got a job already so it's ok.  It did remind me of my first interview and my first job out of grad school years ago.  I had a professor friend come up from Central America to speak to my classes here in the States, and while here he got death threats back home for doing it. 



TRIGGER WARNING



He got murdered when he got back home, right on the campus of his university down there.  Shot in the face.  I spoke at his memorial service.  It was awful, but his memory is a good one that's with me still.



So since yesterday reminded me of him, I dreamed about him last night.  When I woke up, I went back to sleep and dreamed about him again--two more times.  He really was with me in my dreams last night.   Just wanted to say so.  There aren't a lot of places in the world for me to talk about something like this.



I miss him.  He was one of the really good guys.

I think it might well have been him - his soul - that visited you in your dreams. I think it's beautiful that you got to be with him like that.

Hugs Muji. I often have dreams of past and present people in my life intermingled. I don't share it because like you said there are not to many places that would accept it. But a constant or consistent dream often has a message. I find out things that there would be no other way of finding otherwise.

Like minds and camaraderie come to mind and will you feel like a visitor to a friendly place or the welcoming friend to the visitor? IDK, just feelings.

jewells1, it felt good for him to visit me in my dreams. I can't explain it, of course. But I've often felt him with me, at least in my memory in a way that came up from the past to support me in the present. I thought it would be ok to say so here since it had that same quality of support to it, somehow.

My friend that visits often still uses the phrase "We have the technology" at times. It usually corresponds to a decision or change I am making.

I like that, jewells. I like it, too, that we still have the spiritual technology, so to speak, to let our loved ones from the past be with us still in spirit today.

We have the technology. :-)

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
