Hi, guys! I'm 16 years old and I need help. More than 3 months ago I ended a relationship. We were together for 6 months, yeah I know, not to much, but it was my first relationship ever. We weren't supposed to be together, we've shouldn't but... we fell in love. He is 20 years older than me (also has a wife and kids). It was my first... everything, I mean, I had my first kiss, I had sex for first time (he was very gentle, I can't imagine a better first time). At first it was great, but to bee sure I asked him very often, if he want to end the things (you understand the reason), but he answered every time, that if he doesn't feel OK, he's gonna tell me. But 2 months after everything started he became different. I thought it was my fault, I tried talking to him, but he didn't really want to share, to clear everything. We were having sex and a couple of days after each time everything was like before... but only for a few days. So nearly at the end of our relationship I asked him if he wants we to see each other an he said yes. Yes, we did it, we had sex, again I thought it will help and everything is gonna be OK. This time was different, it was like he used me and in the end he just wanted me to go away. The next day I told him how I felt and we had a fight. We ended the things a month later. My parent don't know anything about this hole thing and I don't have anybody to share.
Now, I've still haven't gotten over it. I have some kind of panic attacks, when the memories just appear, for a moment eveis OK and in the next I'm laying on the floor and can't stop crying. I don't fell OK. I did some online tests - maybe I have PTSD and I'm pretty sure I have depression. I can't go to the therapist or psychologist because that way my parents will find out. I really don't know what to do. HELP! Please

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

You can tell your parents that you're feeling depressed even if you don't want to disclose why so that you can get some help
You are still a child sweetie and he took advantage of you....It would be overwhelming for sure... If there is an adult that you think you can talk to I would...
Gentle hug.... xo
Peace and strength.
My story holds a similar chapter in my youth. The guy was the dad of the kids I had been babysitting since I was 11. We became "involved" probably around the time I was getting to be 15. He would say he loved me, too. Said he wanted to leave the wife, get married, raise the kids together & all that.
The guilt was terrible for me being that his wife was also my friend. But ... LOVE!! Right??
So, when I was 16, I left for the Summer. I wanted to get away from the situation, think, avoid, see what happens when I came back.
My bestie then knew I had slept with him, but not all the emotional stuff, so she was pretty excited to tell me that she had slept with him while I was away. There was nothing malicious in her doing that. She thought it was cool of us. I made like I was happy that she was happy, Me, I was hurt and relieved because it had just resolved itself.
The mom found out (from my friend) about a year later. I found out from her that there had been a 3rd girl from before me. I didn't see her again for 5 or 6 years. We were both out at the same club & met after for coffee. She was divorced, thinner, and looked great. We had a really good talk, apologies & forgiveness, and were able to catch each other up on things. I was lucky to have that from her.
So I think I can see, a little bit, of where you're coming from and how strongly the effects feel from your end. If that is true, maybe my experience and perspective will give you hope or comfort.
I have never dated or slept with another married man. I have formed the opinion that if you will cheat on the one person you are supposed to love above all else, then you likely will cheat on anyone. I also am skeptical of people who 'say all the right things'. lol
I wish I had told my mom. As a mom now, I know he should have went to jail. You are 16 and there are laws that can't turn back time, but could spare another young lady from going through what you are now. Are you at all close with your parents? Are they good people? If so, they will not love you any less.
I know you mostly feel adult and capable of 'adulting'. Teenagers have it really rough with everyone expecting adult responsibility but not giving adult 'rights'. Part of this is because everyone wants to prepare you for adulthood so you'll do well & be happy, but then they want you to have that last bit of childhood & innocence, too. The other part is that biologically you still have physical and emotional growth to finish. Don't quote me, but I don't think the biological stuff finishes until your like, 28.
At 16, the strong "love" you've felt is not the same as a strong love you will feel at 22. I think, too, that being depressed after any break-up is a perfectly reasonable & normal response. You are grieving the relationship. It will pass. Do your best to find enjoyment & activities. Do things!! It will help your mind be busy with other things so less dwelling on all this.
I don't have any ideas of how to help the panic attacks. :/ Maybe the doing other things & not dwelling will help.
I hope something here helps you out. I'm proud of you for getting away from a potentially huge mess, and for searching for an assist to help you through. Both things show strength and courage.
