Can i get ptsd from the loss of a loved one? And the way i was rasied step dad was very controlling. I got tested for ptsd and the drs think i have it

welcome to the group, many of us got ptsd by growing up in traumatic environments. also then add on another traumatic event. sorry for your loss and i'm sorry that you have PTSD, this is a good place to come.

Belated welcome and sorry for what brings you here. I'd trust your therapist. Being emotionally, mentally abused can be just as bad as the physical variety. Come here, post here and hopefully you can work through some things.

    Got a 20% chance of rain forecast yesterday. Got hit by a t-storm that almost knocked out more tree.This is why I watch animals and not a weather channel.Feeling too worn out to do much today, sorry.

    Hiya My internet is changing today and I'm not sure how long the switch over will take, I'm hoping 24 hours at the most, but I'm probably being too optimistic We are changing to another company and going full fibre for the internet. But at least it's changing to the one payment rather than the payment for the home landline phone and a payment for the internet. So I'm not going to be on here...
