thoughts are running through my head like random dust devils, from ancient herstory to conjectured futures. for those of you who don't know what a dust devil is:

quite a few of my therapy retreats of the 80's and 90's were held in the pecos valley in west texas. dust devils are especially vivid visualizations for my meditations on intrusive thoughts. the dust devils of the pecos valley are something to watch, even without psychotherapy points to ponder.
there is quite allot of diverse activity going on in my life right now. much of it, such as 3 thriving elementary school sudents and farm management. is good. other parts, such as a 43 year old estranged son looking for fruit from the money tree and taking a substantial loss on the sale of the urban paradise i have dubbed, "the toxic mom throne," are not so good. by whatever judgement, it is allot of balls to juggle. with my attention being pulled in so many directions at once, intrusive thoughts are no great surprise. alas, in this particular spin of the not-so-merry-go-round, those intrusive thoughts are escalating to painful. time to up the therapy maintenance.
so, here i be. . . striving to get ^it^ into words. no advice requested. support in sorting needed, welcome and appreciated. on my personal recovery road, the sharing of strictly personal experience, first person singular, is often the best support i have found. it helps to know i am not alone.
again i leave the mood icon on the rapid cycling median. i am fine. how are you?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Congrats, then, on those 3 thriving kids, my friend, that alone is a true miracle. I admire you for how you're raising them. Glad the farm work's going well, too. Doing both jobs and having them go so well is truly commendable.
As Roseanne Rosanna Danna on SNL used to say, though, "there's always something."

Sending you support for the estranged son's looking for fruit from the money tree and your taking a hit on the sale of the toxic mom throne. Support as you sort, hoping you get a break from those painful intrusive thoughts you mention having. I have those, too, so you indeed are not alone.
if only those 3 thriving kids were as done a deal as finishing a college degree or divorce day in the classic industrial romance. they are 4, 7 and 10. we still have plenty of time to create more of the 43 year old children who are still spiraling dangerously on daddy's charity. yes, hubs sent him still more money. maybe this will be the dole which fixes him forever? not holding my breath while i wait and see.
works in progress for settling those dust devils. thank you for the support. it really does help to know i'm not alone.
i generally avoid drugs, in general, but often wish they were easily available for the rough patches. here in the u.s., there are entirely too many hoops to jump to use them, be they legal or illegal. one of the things i miss most about living in south america is that i could pop into a pharmacy and buy a single "as needed" pill to get me through the night. here in the u.s., even as needed medications feel like a long term commitment to jumping insurance/legal/medical hoops.
