Another thing I did was visualize something that had happened that day which I wish would have gone better. I imagine the situation with me choosing a different response and think about a "realistic," "most likely" response of whoever else was involved. Then I would keep tweaking my reaction until it was resolved the way *I* wanted. Sometimes it couldn't be resolved in a good way, so I just tweaked until it the situation seemed stuck at the "best possible" situation (remember, we can't control others, so there's only so much that will change when we change). Once I had the "ideal" visual, I would repeat it over and over in my head until I fell asleep.
The coolest thing? When I was in "similar" situations, I *AUTOMATICALLY* responded with the way I had programmed by brain and IT TWEAKED IT TO THE SITUATION! That's my favorite brain training tool. :)
I also train my brain to make positive statements. Another way to do that (and your technique above!) is to correct people *IN YOUR HEAD* when they make statements. Example: When I hear people say "Don't forget," my brain automatically says "Remember." When I am talking about something that has happened, I have taught my brain to automatically find the "upside" in the situation. Using you example above, if I heard someone tell me something so silly, I would think "I'm brilliant!" Of course, I also laugh at the absurdity of it. Makes them feel foolish and powerless. ;)
Thanks!

It works, and when you change your thoughts and words, you change your outlook. When you change your outlook, you change the way people respond to you. And that, my friends, can change your life!
Bright Blessings to all,
