There might be one or so of my Precious Support Friends here on DS who noticed a Deliberate Omission in my tales of the Bee Move. Eldest Son (34), current master of the April Homestead. The data is not available at a price I am willing to pay, but I am going to hazard a guess here, anonymously, of course, that his current name for me is a variant of "Toxic People."
So far, so good on the transition back into the April Homestead. I still consider it as a road warrior version of "Home" but it has been around a year and a half since I have slept here. For at least a third of that period, my dust allergy has made this building an allergy nightmare for me. Dust is so thoroughly my allergy bad boy that I can, will and have slept in a parking lot before I will try to sleep in a dust laden house. Strictly personal, folks. No commentary on housekeeping choices. Just allergy dictates. I did not ask for a Dust Allergy. I Just have to live with it.
I spent yesterday cleaning out, "The Bitch's Lair." (Apologies to any who dislike the name. Think I will keep it anyway At least for now.) The Bitch's Lair is one of those prefab out-buildings that you can see in any hardware superstore, among many, many other places. It is my tool shed. My beloved has given his stamp of approval for my current name for it. When he took a break from his honey harvest to see what I was up to, he was thrilled to discover enough floor space to allow him to move his bikes from the room where he was harvesting his honey to the out-building. Bring 'em on, Babe...
I am rather pleased with The Bitch's Lair. The base tool/doodad arrangement I left it with a year and a half ago is still mostly there. Most of the yaddahs and blahs that dominated the floor were just the natural result of "toss-keeping" where items are tossed instead of placed. They folded up and went back into the base scheme with relative ease. So far, so good on the Eldest Son drama. Knock wood, keep the prayers coming Exchanges between us have been brief and respectful. I can work with that.
Later this morning my beloved and I will be returning "Supers" to hives. Three here on the homestead and six in the "Out-yard." My beloved guesstimates he harvested around 80 pounds of honey from the supers here. About 40 pounds from the final Brazos Valley harvest. Literal sweet!

As for "toxic people"---we're all toxic to someone, somewhere. Like a dust allergy. We don't ask to be dust, or to be allergic, sometimes its just... that way.... A feeble and fumbling attempt at comforting you regarding your son.
