Pain back with a vengeance! :-(

For those who may not know, I have Chronic Kidney Disease on top of the chronic PTSD we all share here now.  A psychiatrist overdid it with Seroquel with me and ruined the nerves in my extremities since my kidneys no longer supply sufficient oxygen far enough on my body.

 

One extremity is my head, of course, so I passed out at work 5 times while up front teaching my nursing classes, so I had to retire.  The other extremities are my hands, of course, too.  The worst, though, are my feet.  I have lightning flashes of intense pain day after day as starved nerves in my legs and feet protest dying from oxygen starvation. 

 

On such days I am grateful for being able to walk because it's the only healthy thing about me on this horrible CKD pain and weakness day today .  I only walked half a mile, but it was a triumph of the will as I took each step with literal tears of pain in my eyes.  That is why on the mood emoji here I picked the tearful one because it's literally me today.

 


I've had it for 13 years now, but lately my CKD is getting more and more serious on me.  I can see it now:  my funeral.  Ouch.  May it be late and not soon.

Muji, Praying for you with your pain! I really hope and pray that it lets up soon, as you know i understand thattype of pain well! I dont have CKD but have neruopathy bad and many other chronic pain issues, as well as am barely able to walk now. Are you able to use creams? I get a pain cream that helps a lot with foot and leg pain from neuropathy, spasms, and fibro pain. They sell it on Amazon but its cheaper if you go to the actual brands website. I pay 13 dollars a tub, get 2 every other month (just about what i go thru is onea month) and if i buy it on amazon its around 20 dollars once you get tax included. If you want the info on it please let me know, there is magnesium in it if you can have that and it does have hemp. I have a lot of issues with my feet pain wise and this stuff is amazing. I found out accidently, was only trying it to help my RLS!

Your prayers were answered, amigos!! I slept all afternoon and the crushing CKD pain of the last 24 hours subsided, so at sunset I walked 1.5km extra late at 7pm. My dog took her extra time doing her business on the street but she did and the Mexican sunset was just lovely. What was the most lovely was that saying came true that says that the best thing about pain is when it STOPS.

Yeah, it IS awesome, lilmiss! Thanks for enjoying it with me. The pain that let up last night is still gone today and I'm having as close to a normal Saturday as it gets, so I'm planning to get out there with my dog and take a good walk to live a little. Hope you caught a break today, too.

Today I had LOW PAIN and so walking 1.1km was PARADISE! Thank goodness!

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
