i'm making this post to justify procrastination on getting out there in the high wind before the sun is high enough to warm the air, but my garden work is underway. so is the flock increase. the nights are still too chill to leave the 29 new chicks in the coop, so they are chirping away in a cage in the living room. i connected with a local breeder this past winter. we are trading honey for chicks. feel free to get punny.
i love spring. nothing soothes my anxious senses like connecting to the bioweb.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
How long does it take them to become adults Arf?
Before long there will be babies everywhere
Here I see the wee squirrels and baby raccoons
our babies are already making their debuts. not many squirrels out here on the farm, but the rabbits are everywhere. birds are competing for the nesting boxes. birds sing so purty during mating season.
are your birds coming home yet?
We have a lot of sparrows that live in our bushes and we feed
We should be seeing robin's anytime now
I feed squirrels on the porch which is sort of hidden behind a tree
It's illegal to feed them but many don't make it through the winter due to no food so we have about 8 that come
They'll be getting their own food soon
I love to see wildlife
Too many are losing their habitat's now
You don't see a lot in the city
city dwellers have a growing awareness and craving. my prayer is that as urban agriculture continues its growth trends, so, too, will urban wildlife management. just praying. if you want to pray along, here is one of the groups i am praying for.
