i'm not sure just how far off-topic this is. a good movie can set me to thinking and understanding more deeply than a freight load full of self-help books. the off-topic part is having fun with sharing serious stuff.
the movie that inspired a this post is the sequel of "inside out." this is an animated movie streaming on disney+ about emotional development. in the first, they explore the emotional developmemt of a child, riley, starting at birth through elementary school. in the sequel, riley hits puberty. let me tell you 'bout the birds and the bees. . . methinks we have some serious psychology here coached in colorful and amusing terms that even children and emotionally handicapped adults like myself can understand. i would love to trade notes with anyone else who has seen it.
anybody else have movies which have helped them understand confusing topics?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

i do find some shows very helpful and healing and do search them out...particularly shows involving competiti0n reality or overcoming obstacles...that really lifts my spirits to see others who have gone through some reall hard horrible crap
Pribably the best film I've ever seen with regards to helping me is called The Shack
A man meets God in 'The Shack' where his child was killed and his experience over that weekend
It really fed my soul
Loved it
and i find myself shocked anew to note that we recently passed the 5th anniversary of that fatal car wreck. time do fun when we are on the fly. it has been an intense 5 years. the good news is that my son's 3 orphans are thriving and hubs and i are holding steady.
I remember when you posted on the Bereavement Board sweetie
The children are so fortunate to have you and it's wonderful to read that they're thriving
I'm glad that The Shack helped you
The book1 I've read several times
It's helped me a great deal as well
Big squishy hug ...xo
