That's entirely too much for a person to have to deal with.
I wish you peace, HEALTH, and strength.
Welcome, please post as much as you can. Wonderful people here.
But the one thing that I really hate is "dissociating." It's worse than the flashbacks, etc. So I can relate to what you're saying. I was surprised to find it out, but therapy taught me that, just speaking for myself, I would rather feel BAD than feel NOTHING. That's just me.
That can lead to self harm to break the numbness, so I had to really get a hold of myself once my therapist and I figured that out about me. But it makes sense, doesn't it, that feeling numb would be harder to take than feeling bad, right? I mean, feeling is what makes us human and not robots.
So I'm really sorry for how you feel, because you're not alone, I know what that numbness is like. Lots of support to you, we get it here. Welcome.
((hugs))
