But if you need a different perspective or just to give the wife and kids a break, anxiety of PTSD is pretty heavy. That "no Trust" monster, though protective, can also be isolating. You can also transfer that to your family. Meaning in order for your comfort they will choose not to do normal things they enjoy. In an extreme, they will walk on eggshells to please you.
I can't handle violent / racing type movies, but My Grandson loves them. He would see a Rom com to please me. So they will adjust a lot out of love to please/comfort you.
If you must trust, why not a bunch of us that also have given you our private hurts and thoughts? Then get some feedback to sift through to see what may help you?

In therapy I decided if I'm going to blame abusers I have to give credit to benefactors, and that made me start storing up trust in the bank for rainy days like the one you seem to be having. Sorry for your having a bad day, I had one this week but got through it. Hoping you do, too.
