Since my car accident a few weeks ago I haven't slept much due to reoccuring nightmares. It's starting to affect my daily life as well as my sleeping patterns. All the nightmares have brought back other traumatic childhood incidences and it's crippling me. I hear any loud noise and flinch. Anyone touches me without warning I start shaking violently and I freeze up mentally. I space out and can't focus on anything. I go numb to my surroundings.
Therapy doesn't help and I'm getting so frustrated and I'm tired of living like this.

Which explains the mysterious fevers and my extra fatigue. I'm so glad I pushed for answers.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

I know my own PTSD symptoms daisy-chain. One thing leads to another and another and another in a mind-ripping sequence. "Crippling" is a good word for it in the yaddahs of my own blahs. Recovering from an isolated trauma, such as an accident, can aggravate old symptoms with the greatest of natural ease. Suckus Maximus. . . Can't I *just*get*over*it*?
Gentle empathy, Trichster. It is, indeed, frustrating.
If you ask for the med sublingual or under the tongue it works very quickly?
Gentle hug .... I'm so sorry that you are going through this.......xo
talking to your dr about meds to help you through is the best plan - i think so. i have. i used to take medicine to help me sleep, but i have seizure meds now so i don't need that. sometimes i do add advil pm if i still can't sleep - but generally not an issue for me now.
absolutely ask for something for anxiety, ((((you)))).
i hope coming here and having people to talk to that understand is helpful. it has helped me so much to find here. we are very glad you found us and want you to feel welcome.
