I am waiting on a new stove to be delivered. A nice one. Should be here soon. I am holding off on breakfast because my omelete wants some toast. I have been cooking on a one-burner hot plate since I started the survey up here back in October. I have survived longer with less, but that only heightens my appreciation for the calming effects of cooking, from the gathering of utensils to the lingering aromas. Nothing soothes my savage beast more than personal attention to the fine details of mindfully-prepared cuisine. That is not to be confused with using the five star dining facilities. The Master Chefs who prepare that food are working for a living. When I cook, every slice, dice and stir is a meditative event.
New toys sure are fun. Anybody else got a new toy or hobby they want to brag about?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

My medicinal/culinary supplies of booze tend to last me forever. Is it my imagination, or is the inflation rate on booze even higher than the general inflation rate? The sticker shock of replenishing gets me every time and it takes high-power denial of the price to get me to pull the bottles off the shelves, but it seems like a pretty stiff inflation rate on already high dollar items.
