Neurofeedback is a little creepy to me, b/c ith my epilepsy who knows what the heck my brainwaves will be like?! My anti-seizure meds alter them, obviously....
BUT the one thing I promise you it is completely pain free, infact it's really quite fun :
I wouldn't be here on this planet right now without it! :)
I've bought a headset for myself as I have ADHD helping me in my life but making it a bit difficult from time to time once I lose control over it. I really see that it helps to work on emotional control. It's good to know that I have learnt to detect my mood fluctuations. I don't like hurting people emotionally because I am not in the mood for some strange reason from time to time you know.
I used it especially after my traumatic brain injury (frontal lobe) as a fun way to improve muscle control, relax breathing, and improve my concentration... both the Wii Yoga and the Wii Fit balance games... They look simple but yeah... getting enough control to actually complete the challenge... that was a laugh in itself. Made doing the daily "work" of rehabilitation something I felt challenged by but also actually enjoyed.
It's fun way to help yourself, but sometimes a bit frustrating if you are tired and don't want to show it)) the damn technology shows lol but it also trains you to control focus better so it's a win/win situation in the long run )
