Did someone do something to her? Or did she drive off? Or fly off? 1200 miles is a long way in 2 days.

People usually still manage when psychotic

I went through an experience when a room mate who was paranoid schizophrenic 'ran away' in a psychotic state a number of years ago and it is really worrisome

I had asked him if he wanted to share a place as he really struggled with living arrangements

He was eventually found and he survived okay in spite of psychosis

Idk what's happening. Trying not to worry until after tomorrow. I'm hoping she's just avoiding today. It sounds like she's not sleeping and stopping very little. Her husband is trying to freeze the accounts so she has to call him. They went to court this morning to get her evaluated and stable at the hospital by court order as she refused to go see her shrink voluntarily. She's so scared and I feel so bad for her. I'm pissed off at her husband and kid and my mom. They keep saying they don't know how to handle her...how many times do they have to prove to themselves that telling her shes talking crazy only induces more fear and anxiety. She needs allies when she's feeling so scared. Every single time this happens they all get grouped in with the "bad people" because they don't believe her. You don't have to contribute to her psychosis with your own conspiracy theory or even really validate what she believes but you can still be supportive and let her know you understand her fears. How alone she must of felt that she had to run for her own safety, or maybe she feels she protecting her family by not being there...who knows. This is not what I want to sign up for but my heart is with her and I just want her home and feeling safe again.

Sun my brother said the same thing about the cops, by the sounds of it they are doing at least something but they said they can detain her in a holding cell until her hubs flies out to get her. This episode feels different tho because she stole a bible and now believe shes a saviour of the world so I'm not sure she would believe her husband is trying to help and I'm unsure the police can force her to leave with him. Her doctor just listed her as suicidal/homicidal so I think they might be able to force her back to our province legally?

Jenny007- Oh my heart is breaking for your sister and for the stress you are going through right now as you wait. The mind is a tricky thing and when it experiences the mis-communications it becomes so unbalanced. As for your sister there is not much anyone can do right now until she is home again or being helped by a trusted third party. Not having control of what is going one is of course anxiety provoking as you know. Have you been able to calm at all? The thing that helps my anxiety when everything is going to heck is stopping assessing what I can do....if nothing I just start praying....or listening to worship music this helps calm me like nothing else. Not sure how you handle yours but when things are out of our control, or even when they are we just have to trust. Praying for you - Rachel. Praying for your sister also.
