My nightmare and Susan B. Anthony

dsf95
My devastating nightmare in late February really took a toll. It brought up a disturbing fact. The dance instructor appeared at the door of the studio immediately after my husband's car had cleared the parking lot and as soon as I was near the doors. You cannot see outside from any part of the studio's inside. You would have to manipulate some heavy wooden blinds in one vertical window and would immediately be noticed. In my dream, an accomplice outside, hidden from my view, texted the dance instructor, probably the woman I had seen at a local bookstore a couple days before. She also sent someone over immediately after the assault to invite me to her tango class. That felt comforting at the time, but then I remembered a conversation with her about how I wanted to finish off the tango class, in spite of the situation with the dance instructor. She was taunting me, "Still want to take that tango class?"
My brain KNEW he had to have an accomplice. I really am almost flattered that these accomplished folks put so much effort into a groin kick from behind.
I still have some empathy and don't want to press charges, but I did write an email to the Better Business Bureau under 'customer service." I just recounted the events and said I didn't want the business to contact me or have a resolution. I feel some closure. I hope I can move on now.

Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

Even when the conspiracy is real and a mean, evil THEY really is after me with malicious intent, I seldom interpret the conspiracy with functional accuracy, nor react effectively. My personal herstory contains many cases of going after mosquitoes with cannons. In that ol' 20-20 hindsight, I often see myself as Chicken Little, running around crying, "The sky is falling."
Don't know if it applies to your case, or not, ds. Just the personal experience that popped into my head.
Congrats on finding the courage to speak up. I am sure Susan B. is proud of you. In my own, strictly personal circle, men seem to have allot more fear of speaking up than women, especially here in the days of public profiling and internet posting, but. . . Susan's memorialized campaign was far more political than personal. Nature's articulation talents never were gender based. Nothing natural about political rights.
Continued support while you sort your own, unique case, ds. It is much easier to sort in open spaces in the light of day.
I'm with Arfie on the con-theories. (Sorry, my nickname for them.) In my dad's family, there's so much potential to see X-Files-style grand conspiracy, and mostly it was just dumba** people doing dumba** things and then going along like those actions had no consequences. Which can seem like they're plotting (and in my dad's family, at least one aunt would) but mostly? Coincidence, confabulation...but rarely a conspiracy of more than one. (That aunt I mentioned.) I can gaslight myself into a tizzy pretty quickly, no help needed from outside, alas!
Glad you reported them!
For me, strictly personal, conspiracy theories are kinda like I've heard alcoholics describe the call of the bar toast: One is too many, a thousand is not enough.
Still. . . I miss the war games. Paint ball or laser tag, anyone? The THEYs are clearly marked and willing targets. Effective channeling with a minimum of collateral damage. Sometimes I even get the satisfaction of creative name-calling. On guard, you pretentious muckety muck. . . The Force is with me.
My personal herstory of going after mosquitoes with cannons has created incredible collateral damage. I just slaps 'em them skeeters days.
