My Brother (just when i thought PTSD symtoms left)

My brother has a history of being abusive has been since about 15 years old hes now almost 38. He has only gotten worse. Today i spent the day at my parents, we were all so stressed knowing he was coming and he didnt act any better than we thought but worse. He was there less than an hour and got kicked out for screaming at my mom. She never kicks him out but had enough. He was told dont come back this weekend (hes staying at a motel) and dont come back anytime soon. Not till he changes which is doubtful. This was about 2 pm its now almost 7:30pm and im just shaking and had to take a klonopin i never take anymore except for sleep occasionally. Whyyyy must PTSD flashbacks haunt us for life??????????? I am so mixed up and upset right now!!!!!!!! Just shaking!

Which explains the mysterious fevers and my extra fatigue. I'm so glad I pushed for answers.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

Could you tell your parents that you love them and want to see them but not at the same time that your brother is there... Just go on different days.... Even for holidays and birthdays you could celebrate on different days??…. Would that work?
In therapy I learned her antisocial behavior was due to untreated mental illness that led her to become hooked on abusing prescription drugs, mixing them, taking them in any old dosage, all kinds of things. It left her on edge all the time, always paranoid, never relaxed, always coiled up to strike and lash out with the meanest comment or jab she could take in the worst moment.
I learned only a mental health professional can take that kind of mental patient's behavior, and then in only small doses at a time and under supported, controlled circumstances. No way I could, then, and no way I had to. I'm with SunCloud for your asserting your right to tell your parents it'd be best for you to visit when he's not there and you're safer.
