my most used meditations for letting go of all the pain and bitterness (forgiveness) of both child and adulthood all involve a simple opening of my hand. the bulk of the meditation involves the psychotic and often destructive drive to keep holding on. whodathunk relaxing those stubborn muscles could be so hard?
in living herstory, letting go of that pain and bitterness is yet to feel as simple as opening my hand. i cannot recall a single episode where i was even conscious of the actual letting go. just one day i was reminded of the injury and able to step over it without a wrinkle in my serenity. it happened. i don't get to rewrite herstory. onward through the current day. . .
for those of you who have been able to let go of a bygone injury. . .
what does letting go feel like to you?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I tried to answer this like two times so far but erased each time because forgiveness is so hard and confusing for me & I’m still so confused about it all.
Thank you for sharing this & posting about it, this has been on my mind a lot lately

maybe hurt is one of those phenom which are confusing by their very nature? sometimes i wonder if my confusion is just proof that i'm paying attention. it be a confusing world we live in.
Arf I love your first paragraph.... It seems so simple and profound at the same time and I will be trying it in the future so TY
I have ended up having years of conversations with myself in the middle of the night... I work on trying to reason things out.... Sometimes it works and sometimes I just get more upset.... Sometimes it works for a while and then things creep back in... I am definitely a work in progress
But I do think that I've made a fair bit of progress.... I also look to faith for help daily
What makes sense and how can I possibly heal if I continue to hold on my conversations with self go on....
I think opening your hand to let go of destructive reasoning is wonderful .... xo
