Prayers of my own go out to all of us with work/lack of work issues!
I am so happy about being a business owner because one of the reasons that the job market is so shaky is because the ones in charge make the dumbest and most costly mistakes.
Where I grew up when you had a job you had that job and that was it. Everything in my home country was constant. People stayed in their professions.
That could very well be one of the main reasons why I am so uncomfortable with everything in this country.
But it also has to do with the fact that people in my working environments are motivated by hatred, envy.
For the first time I have learned what some workers have done to others, how they victimized other people until they completely shut down.
It is painful to know how evil people can be. And the ones I am talking about who are guilty know very well who they are.
What they did to an honest innocent human being is incomprehensible.
s a bug bonus. Another big one is it can be done on your wonderful couch...in your jammies, like a mullet, business on top, bunny slippers on bottom. Just set up a paypal account and schedule..Where you has little effect, But make it scheduled. Using the curriculum syllabus for their classes. You have the experience of teaching that way thanks to the college system. Third bonus? it pays well, usually covered by the exchange students academic budget.
Hugs to you Muji,
J.
Muji, I think online teaching is a great diea---and even ESL tutoring, which is a big thing where I live, for certain---many things open out there. Many small niches to fill to make a big safe niche for you:-)
So when that gets threatened by enrollment issues out of my control, it's a job but it's more to me. It kind of ripples through my psyche. That's just me. It got me down for about half the day today after I got another email from my boss. Then I got ahold of myself and things picked up around dinner time.
Even when I retire I imagine I'll be a geezer tutor for kids, just to go to school every day. Looking forward to that some day, actually. Hopefully back in Uruguay. :-)
Meanwhile, fingers crossed about this Fall's enrollment numbers. Another year. Again.
