I joined Daily Strength in June of 2012 with great anxiety because my kidney doctor had told my psychiatrist that it was time to take me off of all psychiatric medications or else.  I was down to 40% kidney function and dropping, and at 25% dialysis is required.  I have a personal spelling of the word "dialysis" that is spelled "die-alysis" from my observations sitting with patients who paged me to help them go through it with them when I was a hospital chaplain. 

So I did what the kidney doctor said, and waited for the bottom to fall out of my mental health.  In my lifetime I'd been hospitalized for major panic attacks or depression from PTSD 3 times, so I knew I could be in for suicidal ideations or I could be passing out from hyperventilating, all kinds of things.

I came here to Daily Strength, then, morning and night as a substitute for taking my meds at those times every day.  It was amazing how it worked!  I stopped my kidney function loss at 40% to save my life, and then Daily Strength helped my mental health so I would then have a life worth living, too. 

On my 6th Daily Strength birthday, then, I want to say thank you, everybody, for the difference you've made in my life these past 6 years.  I am grateful to be here with you.
