I was supposed to see my daughters for the first time in two weeks on a FaceTime call Saturday. Their father’s internet couldn’t support the call. I fought back the tears as I called them and at least got to hear their voices for a total of 30min before they had to go because he was starting a movie at 8pm (youngest is age 5). Spent the weekend completely alone with no text replies from anyone. Spent all day working alone because no one works with me on any of my projects and I have gotten trouble for social conversations with people in passing. Really needed to talk to someone and my therapist canceled because he is sick. I usually grab a coffee, release the hurt, and leave with a bit more positive outlook. That won’t happen this week and it’s no one’s fault but my own. I am facing another evening of isolation. Another dinner alone. Another evening of having no one to talk to. Another evening feeling completely and totally irrelevant. I am actually crying at work which is a huge no no, but I don’t feel motivated to care. Sorry for bugging you all, just really needed vent. What is the point?! I am feeling crazy triggered to self-harm because it works.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Once , when I really need therapy and it wasnt available to me, i did something rashly. Even though im not catholic anymore, when i need therapy and i couldn go, i walked into a random church and ask the oriest if he would hear my confession even though it wasnt scheduled confessional time, and told him i felt more comfortable sitting in the confessional than the pew. You know, he did it. And i just emotionally vomitted on him, and then said i was unable to forgive my abusers. I couldnt tell you what his reply was cause i said thankyou and left immediately. And ive never told that to anyone before tonight, but you reminded me of what my isolation felt like, a prison of my own making. Even after the acceptance of abuse , i still felt i locked myself in that prison and so i decided to unlock the door and walk out. It took itsy bitsy commitments, which i had to ignore when i failed at them and perservere and try again until i succeeded. Hang in there Kate, and maybe you can find the inner strength to change one very tiny thing for the better every day. After all every mountain starts from grains of sand~ triple hugs
To help you feel less lonely and isolated, try to connect with your old friends. Social Media is a great way of communicating with friends. I live 10,000 miles away from my family and I found technology to be very helpful. I can talk to my family and friends anytime with no charge.
Thank you for sharing this, I hope you will feel better soon. God bless.
