Is school starting for others here?

It is for me, as a community college teacher. Big change, good because it ends my isolation, bad because it brings on stress. Just trying to look at it as good stress, not bad PTSD stress.

Anybody else going back to school, whether as student or teacher?

I'm not personally but my kids are in 6 days and 22hrs (not that I am counting

Not me but I wish I was.... I can't afford school and being on disability doesn't allow any type of rehab type courses

I'd really love to get into journalism.... Maybe in my next life

I'd love to go back to school (I think) although my memory banks are slow and stop...sigh

I only wish---but the freshmen are arriving for UVA, I think this weekend, which means we locals now all hide in our homes till next June, LOL....

I would so love to go back and become a GP like I planned.... in another life, maybe.... Or maybe a geochemist.... Or a molecular biologist or maybe a genetics counselor....

Do you mean to tell me that I gotta just keep on doing what I been doing??? No fashion parade to prepare for??? No clean slate to write all my Straight As on??? 16 years of academic calendar conditioning so that I just have to drop it and be a grown-up after somebody hands me a sheep skin?

ive been attending the recovery college which is courses for people who have suffered or do sufer with mental illness. has been the only thing keeping me going since I became unemployed cos I was too ill. unfortantly its just ended for summer and im moving cities so I cant attend anymore courses.

done courses such as mindfulness, emotional freedom technique,narriative telling, understanding self harm, understanding psychosis ect.

was very interesting! I shall miss it.

Wow, rotti, that recovery college sounds like a good program. In addition to the directly practical course titles, "mindfulness" and "narrative telling" really sounded cool to me. I can imagine how much you'll miss it. Was it good to be around the other students in it? Can you stay in touch when you move?

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
