It was an NPR show, "Fresh Air."
It was regarding this documentary:

Barry Crimmens found out that his childhood assailant had died in prison...and he went to the man's grave.
He left flowers.
...Not because he cared about the man or forgave him...but because the evil guy did not succeed in extinguishing Barry's light..
Barry Crimmens won in that he remained a good person..a very good person.
...I passionately despise my dad, but he didn't extinguish my light...and so I won too.
We won here...we didn't become evil.

Upon his departure, he remarked, "I am in many people’s pockets; no one will believe you." Have you ever grappled with the silence that follows sexual assault, where the perceived impossibility of being believed necessitates self-censorship?

I always look at the big, big picture. Human history is so messed up, and always has been. In fact, it used to be much, much worse. What we are doing, by healing from these traumas, is something that seems pretty new in human history. What we are doing is important and could be part of a sea change in human history.
And also, on an individual basis, my own beliefs lead me to wonder what my intentions were when I took birth with the parents I had. If my intention was to experience abuse and to rise above it by healing, then healing means I win.
The reason I started coming here for the last few years was that I found out more information that helped me move on and not stay stuck like I was with my PTSD. On my first trip in 2009, I found out through the other 4 kids that our childhood assailant had DIED IN PRISON just like Barry Crimmens's did.
He was a perpetrator here in Uruguay, but he died in prison in the USA, so there's no grave here in Uruguay where I can put flowers. But it was still big news in that I found out he was "OUR" perpetrator. All my life I had been alone with what he'd done. Now he was gone, and I was left with the gift of other people for me to talk to about this terrible secret I'd carried in isolation.
It was then that I realized I could talk about it with others. I could heal about it in a support group like DS PTSD.
Thanks for posting this, blue. Yeah, we WON.
