Hopefully you won't hear from her for a very long time. And when you do hear from her again, just remember that it's your choice whether or not you talk to her at all. I cut my parents off and that will never change. They're too messed up with no hope of changing. And they are the direct cause of my having complex PTSD today.
I still struggle daily. My last couple of interactions with them were so violent and volatile that those interactions in addition to the other ones from so many years really did a number on me. Still trying to recover but my chances of recovery are so much better now that they're not in my life.
My mother is toxic, too. It's been 8 years since I spoke to her. I tried to get comfort from her and told her I'd been molested twice when I was 10. She went after me for the rest of my life about it instead. At Christmas in 2010 at every meal after for 3 days she did nothing but talk about how disgusting anal sex was to her instead. That was a great comfort, as you can imagine. When after 3 days I didn't react, though, I got hit in the face. So that's why I've not spoken to her in 8 years.
Boundaries. They're great things to maintain when we have mothers like you and I have.
